What to Expect

Step back in time to explore the Ancient City of Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and once the thriving capital of Siam. This full-day journey combines cultural discovery and relaxation: travel by bus to visit Ayutthaya’s most iconic temples and return to Bangkok in style with a scenic cruise along the Chao Phraya River, complete with lunch on board.

Program

By Air-Conditioned Bus

• 07:30 AM – Check in at River City Shopping Complex – Si Phraya Pier.

• 08:00 AM – Depart Bangkok by air-conditioned bus to Ayutthaya.

• 09:15 AM – Arrive in Ayutthaya, Thailand’s capital from 1350–1767 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1991.

Attractions

• Wat Mahathat – Famous for the Buddha head entwined in the roots of a Bodhi tree, once a royal monastery.

• Wat Phra Si Sanphet – The largest temple in the royal palace area, inspiration for Bangkok’s Grand Palace & Wat Phra Kaew.

• Viharn Phra Mongkol Bophit – Home to one of Thailand’s largest bronze Buddha images, fully restored in gilded bronze.

• Wat Lokayasutharam – Features the largest reclining Buddha in Ayutthaya, a striking and serene landmark.

By Cruise

• 13:00 PM – Board the Grand Pearl Cruise at Wat Chong Lom, Nonthaburi.

• Enjoy a buffet lunch of Thai & Western dishes while gliding down the Chao Phraya River.

• 15:00 PM – Tea & coffee served on board as you pass riverside landmarks such as the Royal Barge Museum, Thammasat University, the Grand Palace, and Wat Arun.

• 16:00 PM – Arrive back at River City Shopping Complex.
