08:00–08:30 – Pick-Up from Hotel
Pick up from your hotel or accommodation in Chiang Mai.
Enjoy a scenic 1½-hour countryside drive through rice fields, mountain streams, and banana plantations.
10:00 – Arrival at the Sanctuary
Warm welcome by your local Karen hosts.
Change into traditional Karen clothing and receive a briefing about the elephants and their habitat.
Prepare and feed nutritious snacks to the elephants — a hands-on experience that helps you understand their diet and behavior.
12:30 – Local Thai Lunch
Enjoy a freshly cooked local meal prepared by the villagers.
13:00 – Afternoon Activities at the Sanctuary
🌿 Observe the elephants’ natural behavior — eating, resting, or socializing with their herd in the forest.
🍵 Relax with freshly brewed herbal tea while taking in the peaceful mountain scenery.
💧 Visit a beautiful waterfall nearby for a refreshing nature break (no elephant bathing).
🎨 Join a short Thai cultural craft activity and make your own handmade souvenir to take home.
14:00 – Bamboo Rafting on Mae Wang River
Depart from the sanctuary for a 20-minute drive to the bamboo rafting point.
Sit back and relax on a traditional bamboo raft as a local river guide steers you gently along the scenic Mae Wang River.
Float through lush forest landscapes, listen to the river’s rhythm, and soak up the tranquility of northern Thailand.
15:30 – Return to Chiang Mai
Change into dry clothes and begin the 1-hour ride back to the city.
16:30 – Arrival at Hotel
Arrive at your accommodation with wonderful memories of your day with nature and elephants.
